Book Box

This “tiny library”—a box where people can take and leave books for free—appeared last week outside 80 Wenham St. in Forest Hills. Resident Tess Pope told the Gazette she dedicated to Bill Lawson, a recently deceased cousin who loved to read and give books. It was built by one of Lawson’s friends in Minnesota. Such mini libraries are a popular trend in neighborhoods around the country. JP’s first appeared on South Street in 2012. (Gazette Photo by Rebeca Oliveira)
