Art initiative for Boylston Street

The Jamaica Plain New Economy Transition (JP NET) and the Boston Beer Company (BBC) are partnering to liven up Boylston Street through an artwork initiative, starting with a contest for murals.

The mural contest is part of the Boylston Public Art Corridor initiative, which seeks to create “a public art corridor through Jamaica Plain’s Boylston Street neighborhood, from the Stony Brook T Station to Egleston Square,” according to a press release.

“The Boylston Public Art Corridor is yet another piece of this neighborhood collaborative spirit, this time connecting neighborhood artists with the physical street to tell a piece of the neighborhood’s story to all who walk by,” states the press release.

The mural contest is open to everyone, but preference will be given to Jamaica Plain or Roxbury artists. For more information, email [email protected] or visit bit.ly/SOlHDd.
