Suspect arrested in sexual assault at Arboretum

A suspect has been arrested in a sexual assault that happened at the Arnold Arboretum on Wednesday, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

The suspect, 23-year-old Ashton Davis, was arrested last night by the Boston Police Department (BPD). Data from a GPS bracelet that Davis was wearing due to another case helped lead to his arrest. He was arraigned today at Jamaica Plain-based West Roxbury District Court and held on $50,000 cash bail. His bail in the other case was also revoked.

According to bpdnews.com, officers from Jamaica Plain’s District E-13 Police Station responded on Wednesday June 25 to a report of sexual assault and spoke with a victim who said she was sexually assaulted and robbed at knife point in the Arnold Arboretum at around 11 a.m.[This article has been updated.]
