Urban Edge appoints interim CEO

Urban Edge, a community development corporation based in Jamaica Plain, has appointed Susan Davy as interim chief executive officer to replace Chrystal Kornegay, according to an email sent out by board chair Tom Davis.

Kornegay left the organization after being appointed chief of the Department of Housing and Community Development by Gov. Charlie Baker.

Davy’s prior experience includes serving in executive financial positions at the New England Conservatory of Music, the Peabody Essex Museum and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

“We are very pleased that Susan will provide a steady hand for the organization as we work to identify a worthy successor to Chrystal,” Davis said in the email. “The board of directors is moving quickly to establish a search committee, which will be up and running by the end of January.”
