Farewell to Lion

The Franklin Park Zoo is mourning the April 9 death of Christopher the lion (above), who was euthanized due to worsening age-related illnesses. The 21-year-old lion had lived at the zoo since 2001 after arriving from a Florida facility where he was born. “Christopher truly was the king of the Franklin Park Zoo,” said John Linehan, Zoo New England President and CEO, in a press release.
