A peace symbol and a heart, both composed of flowers, bloom on an embankment in Jamaica Pond Park at Perkins Street and the Jamaicaway last week. The peace symbol was originally planted illicitly by an anonymous gardener in 2013, along with a yin-yang symbol that failed. The Boston Parks Department has allowed the plantings to remain.
