Taste of JP returns at a new location

The nonprofit ESAC will host the 20th annual Taste of JP on Sept. 17 at a new location, the Franklin Park Zoo. The event will allow guests to sample the offerings of more than 10 local restaurants.

Taste of JP is a major fundraiser for ESAC, a social service agency that moved to Dorchester after decades in JP’s Egleston Square. ESAC is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Among the work supported by Taste of JP are ESAC’s Sustainable Home Ownership Center and GED Plus and senior home repair programs.

JP restaurants fill most of the bill, and a few eateries from West Roxbury will be represented, too. The latest list of participating restaurants includes: Aurum Restaurant, Bella Luna Restaurant, Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams Brewery), Bukhara Indian Bistro, The Frogmore, Fiore’s Bakery, Himalayan Bistro, Grass Fed, J.P. Licks, Masona Grill, Ten Tables, Ula Café, Vee Vee, West on Centre and Wok n Talk.

The event also features live music, a raffle, a silent auction, and children’s food and activities.
