Holidays in JP: ‘Shop w/a Cause’ returns

A group of Jamaica Plain businesses are getting into the holiday spirit and are holding the second annual “Shop w/a Cause” on Dec. 5, which will give a percentage of purchases to local nonprofits.

Some of the businesses that are participating are Ula Café (benefiting Spontaneous Celebration and Egleston Square Main Streets), Boing JP’s Toy shop (benefiting Eliot School) Cobwebs (benefiting Friends of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library), Streetcar Wine & Beer (benefiting BRAIN Arts Organization), City Feed and Supply (benefiting Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation), JP Knit & Stitch (benefitting Spontaneous Celebration), Papercuts J.P. (Rosie’s Place), George’s Shoes Store (benefiting Home for Little Wanderers),Blue Frog Bakery (benefiting Operation Delta Dog), and Ferris Wheel Bike Shop (benefiting Italian Home for Children and Boston Cyclist Union).

The event, which coincides with the City’s holiday tree-lighting ceremonies in JP, takes place at varying times at each business. For more information, email [email protected] or call 617-522-1150.
