Audrey Lakes, the new manager of the Jamaica Plain Post Office, is hosting a holiday meet and greet for local residents and business owners, according to an United States Post Office (USPS) email blast.
Service at the JP post office has been an ongoing issue for residents and businesses, and complaints have been made recently to the Gazette and the post office directly about lengthy lines for service at the JP Post Office and unpredictable deliveries.
USPS spokesperson Steve Doherty previously told the Gazette that in addition to a new manager, the post office will have additional clerks and a change in the supervisory staff. According to Doherty, Lakes will be introducing herself to learn about the needs and concerns of the neighborhood.
The meet-and-greet event will be held on Dec. 5 at the Jamaica Plain Post Office on 655 Centre St.
