About 80 people attended a “Soup for Syria” fundraiser at the Jamaicaway Tower & Townhouses on Nov. 22 to raise money for the Syrian American Medical Society Foundation, which funds emergency care throughout Syria and assists Syrian refugees with medical needs in Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon.
