Meeting scheduled for City Realty’s Washington St. dev.

The Boston Redevelopment Authority will hold a community meeting June 6 for City Realty’s proposed $13 million, 49-unit condominium development at 3193 Washington Street.

The meeting will take place at 3134 Washington St., beginning at 6 p.m.

The proposal calls for demolishing a one-story commercial building and replacing it with a five-story, 12,992-square-foot building with 24 parking spaces and 58 bicycle spots. The 49 units would consist of 3 studios, 22 one-bedrooms, 10 one-bedrooms and den, 11 two-bedrooms, and 3 three-bedrooms. The project would have eight affordable-housing units, which is slightly more than what is required under the City’s affordable-housing policy. The ground floor would have about 1,000 square feet of retail/office space.

The project will need several variances, including for excessive height and not meeting the minimum parking requirement.
