New burger place to open at Jackson Square

A new restaurant called Mooyah Burgers will soon be opening in Jamaica Plain in Jackson Square across from the Jackson Square T Stop.

The restaurant at 225 Centre St. opens to the public on June 19 and will be serving cheeseburgers, fries, milkshakes, and hot dogs. All menu items will be made with fresh products. The burgers will be made out of angus beef patties, and there will be other burger options including black bean burgers, turkey burgers, and chicken patties.

Mooyah Burgers is a chain based out of Dallas, Texas, and each individual location is locally owned and operated. This location will be owned by Pratik Patel and Darshan Gandhi. Patel said that the business owners plan to stay involved with the community as much as possible by doing fundraisers for local groups and schools.

Construction is completed for the establishment, and the franchise has most of its permits in place so far.
