Out of 102 local businesses, On Centre and Blue Frog Bakery won this year’s Jamaica Plain Business and Professional Association (BAPA) annual Business District Holiday Decorations Contest during the 2017 holiday season, according to a press release.
All of the businesses in Jamaica Plain that were seen to have decorations were judged by four judges on Friday Dec. 8 and Saturday Dec. 9. Businesses were awarded points in three categories: most artistic, most festive, and most inviting to customers.
As the first prize winners, On Centre (676 Centre St.) and Blue Frog Bakery (3 Green St.) will receive $50. McCormack and Scanlan Real Estate (68 South St.) and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage (713 Centre St.) won second place, and were awarded $30 each.
The third-place $20 winners are 40 South (40 South St.), Reps Fitness Studio (781 Centre St.), Vee Vee (763 Centre St.), JP Seafood Café (730 Centre St.), Purple Cactus (674 Centre St.) and Hatched (668 Centre St.).
