Luis Edgardo Cotto has left Egleston Square Main Street (ESMS) after leading the organization for four years as executive director.
ESMS is a business promotion organization.
“Back in August I accepted an offer from the Mass Cultural Council to be Program Manager for Community Initiatives,” said Cotto in an email to the Gazette. “This will include, amongst other things, the areas designated as Cultural Districts.”
He said that he gave the ESMS board notice last month and his final day at ESMS was on Sept. 14. Cotto started his new job the following Monday.
Cotto said that a selection process is currently underway to find a new executive director and that he “will remain on until the end of the month as a volunteer to fulfill a number of major commitments including two events scheduled for Sept. 22nd and 27th as well as formalizing the naming of Lawson Place in Egleston Square with the City.”
