Trolley tour comes to JP on Dec. 1

The “Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour” will be coming to Jamaica Plain on Dec. 1, according to a press release.

“Our holiday trolley tour and tree lightings provide some of the best family memories of the year, building community spirit throughout Boston and bringing a little extra joy to residents during the holiday season,” said Mayor Martin Walsh, according to the press release. “The holiday season is a time for friends, family and neighbors to come together and celebrate, and I welcome all to attend this weekend of inclusive, family-friendly fun.”

This year marks the 23th anniversary of the event.

The trolley will stop at several locations citywide from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2. On Dec. 1, the trolley will stop at Hyde Square at 1:45 p.m. before traveling down Centre Street to Monument Square at 2:30 p.m.

The Trolley Tours was a favorite event for late Mayor Thomas Menino, who held his final holiday go-round in 2013 before leaving office.
