Brazen daylight murder investigation underway in Jamaica Plain

A man was killed in a brazen broad daylight shooting Wednesday afternoon just outside of busy Egleston Square in Jamaica Plain and close to the District E-13 police station.

According to the Boston Police Department just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, officers responded to a call for a person shot at 3108 Washington Street less than a half mile down the street from Jamaica Plain’s police station.

Police located an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

No other information was available at this time and the police have launched a death investigation into the fatal shooting.
