From the lawn of Loring-Greenough House in July and August to the terrace of the JP Library in September, and then, in October to the patio of J.P. Licks; you could say that JP Chess is on tour. Despite some unpredictable weather the club has managed to meet outdoors in person every Thursday evening with only one exception. Its membership continues to grow and today it has over 60 members on Facebook and around 20 people attending meet ups each week.

Local businesses such as J.P.Licks, El Colombiano Coffee, The BYTE Shop and Pure Dental as well as individuals, have provided generous financial support to the club. If you would like to be part of the growing JP Chess Club join their next club gathering on Thursday evenings, weather permitting. No membership fees. Sets and clocks are provided.
