Celia Segel, candidate for State Representative in West Roxbury, Roslindale, Jamaica Plain and Brookline, has been endorsed by former Congressman Barney Frank. Congressman Frank represented Brookline as part of the 4th Congressional district for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2013, and served as Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.
“Celia Segel has already demonstrated leadership in her advocacy to control the costs of health care and prescription drugs,” said Congressman Frank. “She brings incredibly valuable policy expertise and knows how to build coalitions to pass legislation that will serve the 10th Suffolk and all of Massachusetts. Celia has my enthusiastic support.”
“I am honored to be endorsed by such an effective legislator and dedicated public servant in Congressman Barney Frank,” said Segel. “Congressman Frank knows that I am someone who can bring our communities together and form the partnerships necessary to deliver for every neighborhood of this district on Beacon Hill.”
Congressman Frank is joined in his support for Segel by Reproductive Equity Now, EMILYs List, the Massachusetts Teachers Association, the LGBTQ+ Victory Fund, Senate Majority Leader Cynthia Creem, and several other members of the Massachusetts Legislature.
