The Roslindale Village Main Street (RVMS) Gala was a resounding success, surpassing fundraising expectations and raising over $75,000 to support the neighborhood’s local businesses and community programming.

The event, held on Thursday, served as a celebration of the organization’s 40th anniversary and a tribute to Josef Porteleki, RVMS’s founding Board President. The gala brought together a diverse group of supporters, including longtime RVMS advocates, former directors and board presidents, residents, volunteers, and business owners.

The funds raised will directly support RVMS’s mission to strengthen the local economy and create vibrant, inclusive programs that establish Roslindale Village as a welcoming destination for all.

The success of the 2025 Gala was made possible by the generosity of numerous community partners, including:

The Substation, for hosting the event and running the bar.

The Boston Public Quartet, for providing beautiful music.

      Tony’s Market, for the charcuterie.

      Shanti, for the delicious food.

Weesh, for the cake and desserts.

A special thank you was also extended to auctioneer Matt Newsom, who traveled from North Carolina to donate his time and expertise. RVMS concluded the evening by thanking the community for their belief in Roslindale, looking ahead to the next 40 years of service.
