The City of Boston’s Age Strong Commission invites adults aged 50 and older to participate in a series of free yoga and mindfulness programs designed to align the body and mind. These sessions offer a wonderful opportunity to stay active while building connections within the Jamaica Plain community.
All classes are held at Spontaneous Celebrations, located at 45 Danforth Street, Jamaica Plain. The program schedule runs every Tuesday and Thursday, having launched on February 2, 2026.
Tuesday Sessions:
Morning Stretch: 10 – 10:45 a.m.
Chair Yoga: 11 a.m. – noon
Mindfulness Class (Finding Peace in a Frantic World): 12:15 – 1:30 p.m.
Thursday Sessions:
Mat Yoga: 10 – 10:45 a.m.
Bollywood Dance: 11 a.m. – noon
Senior Sound Bath: 12:15 – 1:15 p.m.
These wellness programs are provided free of charge as part of the City’s commitment to healthy aging.
