Fishing Season

The pond was stocked with 900 rainbow trout, 100 brook trout, 100 brown trout, 50 tiger trout, and several 8-pound salmon, all from state fish hatcheries. Hundreds of children joined in the fishing season kick-off event, along with: Richard Sullivan Jr., secretary of the state Energy and Environmental Affairs office; state Department of Conservation and Recreation Commissioner Edward Lambert Jr.; City Councilor and JP resident Matt O’Malley; and James Hunt, the City of Boston’s chief of energy and environmental services. The pond is stocked several times a year.
