People need to be cautious when navigating sidewalks in the neighborhood. I should not have to walk down the middle of the street for three or four consecutive days after a snow/ice storm. Part of the privilege of homeownership means that owners are responsible for cleaning the walks in front of their homes. I know this is a hardship for many elderly and other fixed-income people, and I can give them a break. But if a person can afford to spend a half-million dollars on a one-bedroom condo, then they can afford to either shovel the walk themselves or pay someone to do it.
