Sonia Chang-Díaz has been confirmed as the winner of the state Senate primary election after a Sept. 27 recount requested by incumbent Dianne Wilkerson. Chang-Díaz’s razor-thin winning margin of 228 votes was cut down further to 213.
Wilkerson, a Dorchester Democrat, has vowed to run as a write-in candidate in the Nov. 4 final election. Chang-Díaz, a Jamaica Plain Democrat, will also face Socialist Workers Party candidate William Leonard on that ballot.
