A 20-year-old Jamaica Plain man died from a gunshot wound after being found in a car in Roxbury on Nov. 2, according to the Boston Police Department (BPD). The victim, Keldrin Peña, was a resident of the South Street housing development at 125 South St., according to state Rep. Liz Malia.

Malia said she met with local youths at the development’s youth center on Nov. 3. “The kids are all really, really upset,” she said.

Peña was found wounded in a car at Harrison Avenue and Warren Street, but may have been shot elsewhere, according to police.

Peña has the same last name as a man shot to death on Rossmore Road last month. [See related article.] The BPD press office could not immediately clarify whether there was any direct relationship between the victims.
