PARKSIDE—A motorcyclist died after running into an MBTA RIDE van at the corner of Park Lane and Walnut Avenue on Aug. 20, according to MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo.
The motorcyclist was identified as Juan Feliz, 35, of Boston by the Boston Police Department (BPD).
The van contained no passengers at the time and its driver was uninjured, Pesaturo said. The van was stopped at the corner when the motorcycle “struck” it around 9:40 a.m., causing “fatal injuries” to the motorcyclist, Pesaturo said.
The MBTA’s RIDE provides door-to-door transit service for people with disabilities.
BPD said in a press release that the cause of the accident is under investigation.
