–The Jamaica Plain Artists Association, a group of artists who make and promote art in the Jamaica Plain community, is presenting its 2018 Member Exhibition at JP Licks, 659 Centre Street, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.  The exhibition will run from July 17 – September 12, 2018 during the store’s normal business hours

–The Franklin Park Coalition presents “Elma Lewis Playhouse in the Park,” with a different performance every Tuesday from July 24 to August 28. For details, visit franklinparkcoalition.org.

–Gerry Wright, as Frederick Law Olmsted, will be conducting Stars & Stripes Forever this Sun., 7/29 at Pinebank Promontory. It will be part of the Summer on the Emerald Necklace series. –The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is holding a public meeting August 2, 2018 at 7:00PM – 8:30PM at Spontaneous Celebrations in JP regarding potential sites for a SWCP off-leash dog recreation area. Calling All: Poets, Singers, Musicians, Families, Youth, Educators, Organizers, Performers (actors, drummers, dancers, athletes), Fashion Designers and Media-Makers too (animation, film)
Join us for a celebration of community, culture and multimedia performance arts! This all-day event will bring together many diverse communities from across the Boston area to mash it up and kick-off the awareness and fun raising campaign to bring the Unity through Music festival to Boston!
