Two holiday tree-lightings featuring Mayor Martin Walsh will take place in Jamaica Plain on Sat., Dec. 6, according to a City document provided to the Gazette by the Mayor’s Office.
The events are being billed as part of the “Mayor’s Enchanted Trolley Tour & Tree Lighting,” featuring music, treats and a visit from Santa. The trolley will stop at several locations citywide from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7.
On Dec. 6, the trolley will stop at Monument Square at 2 p.m. before traveling up Centre Street to Hyde Square at 2:45 p.m.
The Trolley Tours was a favorite event for late Mayor Thomas Menino, who held his final holiday go-round last year before leaving office.
