Letter: Thanks for a great Night Out

On behalf of our commander, Capt. Paul Russell, and all of us at District E-13, we would like to express our most sincere “thank you” to everyone who joined us at our Neighbors Night Out in Egleston Square on July 29. The Egleston Square YMCA hosted the annual experience. The event was organized by the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation, Teen Empowerment, Egleston Square Main Street and the Forest Hills Cooperative Housing in partnership with the Jamaica Plain Citizens Police Alliance.

Thank you to the YMCA for sponsorship, to all co-sponsors, and to the youths who made it a vibrant activity.  We want to recognize the contributions made by the Police Athletic League, Forest Hills Housing Cooperative, River of Life Church, Northeastern Petroleum, JP Business & Professional Association, All Checks Cashed, Whole Foods and the Office of Boston City Councilor Matthew O’Malley. We also appreciate the great raffle prizes donated by Target Corporation, CVS at 467 Centre St., J.P. Licks, Tufts Medical Floating Hospital for Children and state Rep. Liz Malia’s office. We would like to thank all of those who volunteered to make this night a success.

Finally, we would like to thank the community for its continuous support and commitment to make our neighborhoods a better place to live and shop.

Sgt. Eric Krause, Boston Police Area E-13, Community Service Office
