A man in his 20s was fatally shot near 891 Centre St. this morning, according to Boston Police Department (BPD).
An officer who was nearby heard the shots, fired around 10:30 this morning, and chased two male suspects.
While at least one of the suspects fired at police, the officer did not return fire. With back-up officers, both suspects were arrested.
“None of our officers were injured, but again used tremendous restraint and regard for the safety of the public when quickly reacting and detaining these two individuals,” BPD Commissioner William Evans said in a release.
The victim died of his multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
The homicide investigation is ongoing, BPD told the Gazette. No further details on the suspects are available for release at the moment.
