Sherrill House Appoints Kshitij Rawal as Director of Expressive Therapy and Recreation

Sherrill House, a not-for-profit skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, today announced the appointment of Kshitij Rawal as Director of Expressive Therapy and Recreation.

Rawal is a professional musician and full-time music and expressive therapist at Sherrill House. He is responsible for overseeing the program led by two board-certified music therapists who regularly provide comfort, a sense of community and psychosocial and emotional support for residents through music.

“Rawal brings an impressive background and admirable dedication to our residents and community,” said Patrick Stapleton, CEO of Sherrill House.

Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Rawal is the first musician in his family. After building a successful music career, Rawal began to share his love for music with the community by visiting schools for children with special needs, and traveling to poverty-stricken sectors of India.

Rawal received a bachelor’s degree in Performance and Music Therapy from the Berklee College of Music, and is a board-certified music therapist. In his spare time, he practices his musicianship as a professional musician and drummer in various projects throughout Boston.
