Two Prudential Real Estate companies have announced they have joined four sales offices under one ownership group, creating a rare multi-market resource for buying, selling and leasing residential and commercial real estate in the Greater Boston area. Prudential Unlimited Realty of Brookline and Prudential Maxfield & Company of Jamaica Plain now have offices located in Jamaica Plain, Brookline, Boston/South End and Belmont/Cambridge. They are presenting themselves as one company, Prudential Unlimited Realty.
Though there are many other franchise offices under one name, most are not under one ownership umbrella, and most are fiercely independent. Prudential Unlimited is one team in four different but contiguous markets.
“This gives us a marketing edge with huge opportunity for cross marketing. In plain English, the merger means that when you walk into the JP office of Prudential Unlimited your property can be marketed effectively in four of our strongest markets. This is a rare and powerful combination” said Peter Phinney, Esq., the new sales manager at Prudential Unlimited Jamaica Plain. “You now have the strength and experience of nearly 65-plus agents at your disposal in multiple markets,” Phinney emphasized.
“The merger will give Prudential a stronger and more consistent presence throughout the Greater Boston area,” said David Bates, principal and managing broker of Prudential Unlimited Realty. “The services we can now provide our agents ensures their success working with the buyers and sellers that work with them will make turning to Prudential Unlimited Realty an easy choice.”
By capitalizing on economics of scale created by combining the offices, Prudential Unlimited Realty can offer its agents administrative services that their competitors cannot, “such as marketing services, technology tools, and training opportunities to help Prudential agents do their jobs better and relieve them of a great deal of time-consuming administrative factors,” said John Maxfield, principal broker/owner, located in the Jamaica Plain office.
“We look forward to a great season,” Phinney said.
