Bon Savor’s owners have put the 605 Centre St. restaurant for sale after two years of being unable to re-enter the U.S.
Ibonne Zabala and Oleg Konovalov, the owners, have been in Zabala’s native Colombia since a 2009 vacation, when their re-entry visa to the U.S. was denied.
“The whole JP community supported them [at the time],” said Manager Galina Vankaeva, confirming the sale. “They wrote letters to the U.S. embassy in Colombia.”
An email to Zabala was not returned by Gazette’s deadline.
Bon Savor is now operating only during weekend brunch hours, Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
