Three holiday events will take place in Jamaica Plain on Dec. 7, according to a City document.
Egleston Square will host a tree-lighting event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., while the Mayor’s Trolley Tour will stop at Monument Square and Hyde Square at 2 p.m. and 2:45 p.m., respectively.
Previous years’ Trolley Tours included tree-lightings along with music and a Santa Claus visit, but it is unclear whether this year’s will. The City has a tree-lighting event map that includes Egleston, but not Hyde and Monument squares, and puts the Trolley Tour on a separate list. The City could not immediately clarify the events.
The Mayor’s Office could not confirm that Mayor Thomas Menino will be at all three events. This is the final holiday go-round for Menino, who is riding into the sunset after 20 years in office.
