Police on Dec. 28 issued a Be On The Look Out (BOLO) warning for 23-year-old Eric McPhail—who is considered armed and dangerous—following an alleged domestic dispute involving firearms, a car-ramming and the theft of an automobile from in front of JP’s E-13 Police Station on Washington Street.

As of early this week, McPhail was still at large, Boston Police officials told the Gazette.

McPhail was described in press materials issued by the Boston Police Department as a 23-year-old black non-Hispanic male, 5’9 in height and about 145-155 lbs. in weight with dreadlocks, wearing a brown jacket and blue/tan hooded sweatshirt.” He is believed to have stolen a 2002 grey Nissan Altima bearing license plate number 194FE7.

BPD urged anyone who sees the car or comes into contact with the suspect to call 911. To reach BPD dispatch directly from a cell phone, call (617) 343-4911.

At some point between 9:30 and 9:52 a.m. on Dec. 28, McPhail allegedly followed his ex-girlfriend from her Dorchester home to intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and American Legion Highway. “There, the suspect [allegedly] rammed the victim’s car and pulled up beside her and fired shots at her, missing her and the other occupant of the car,” the press release said.

“The victim and her passenger fled to District E-13, where they ran inside the station to alert officers to the developing situation. While inside the station, the suspect [allegedly] stole the victim’s car and fled the scene.”
