JACKSON SQ.—A 13-year-old Mission Hill boy was shot to death Jan. 12 while apparently walking home through the Bromley-Heath Housing Development.
Luis Gerena apparently left the Jackson Square T Station and was then shot multiple times on Horan Way, according to police reports. He then fled to the area of 940 Parker St. and collapsed.
Capt. Kelley McCormick of the local E-13 Police said there is no current evidence that the crime involves direct ties to the housing development. But, he said, the police believe that someone there probably witnessed the killing.
“We need people to come forward and tell us what they saw,” said McCormick, who joined detectives in the grim task of notifying the victim’s family. “These are all of our children.”
