I am writing to publicly thank Carol Downs and everyone at the Milky Way/Bella Luna. Recently, this great restaurant and club hosted a fund-raiser for Teen Empowerment, which has a site in Egleston Square, in its new Brewery location. The $1,000 we made that evening will help us as we work to involve local teens as leaders of an effort to address issues in our community.
Thanks also to JP Seafood, Salmagundi and the Children’s Music Center for donating raffle prizes for the event. These are tough times that call for everyone to do what they can to keep our society moving in the right direction. These JP businesses are doing what they can, and we greatly appreciate it.
