A man feeding ducks on May 11 found a handgun in Jamaica Pond, according to a Boston Police Department incident report.
The .22-caliber, pearl-handled pistol was offshore in about six feet of water. It was unloaded and did not have an ammo magazine.
The man notified police officers, who took custody of the gun.
