JPNC candidate deadline is Aug. 5

Potential candidates for the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council (JPNC) have until Aug. 5 to submit their nomination papers.

The JPNC is an elected, 20-member neighborhood association that represents all of Jamaica Plain. Its biannual election will be held on Sept. 24.

The JPNC has five neighborhood-wide “at-large” seats and 15 seats representing three subsections, or “areas,” of JP. Area A covers Egleston, Hyde and Jackson Squares. Area B covers eastern JP between Egleston and Forest Hills. Area C covers western and southern JP, from Pondside to Woodbourne.

Nomination forms are available at: Connolly Branch Library, 433 Centre St.; Egleston Square Branch Library, 2044 Columbus Ave.; Jamaica Plain Branch Library, 12 Sedgwick St.; and J.P. Licks, 659 Centre St. The forms are also available online at jpnc.org.
