Bank to join Forest Hills project

Commonwealth Cooperative Bank is looking to join the Forest Hills development that will include a new Harvest Co-op Market next year, according to the chair of the Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Council Zoning Committee.

Commonwealth is seeking a conditional use variance to install a drive-through window as part of a new branch at 3815 Washington St. in the forthcoming Arboretum Place development, Zoning Committee chair David Baron told the Gazette. That request goes before the committee on Sept. 15.

Hyde Park-based Commonwealth has an existing branch at 733 Centre St. in central JP. The bank did not return a Gazette phone call.

JP-based WCI Corp., which is spearheading the development, also did not respond to Gazette questions.
