Baroz came to Obama’s attention as a Teaching Ambassador Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education this summer. Boston Public Schools (BPS) Superintendent Carol Johnson echoed Obama’s thoughts in BPS press release that also noted efforts to negotiate a new contract with the Boston Teachers Union.
