(Courtesy Photo) Robert Baroz, a teacher at JP’s Curley K-8 School, got a surprise mention in an Oct. 6 speech by President Barack Obama, who noted that Baroz has nearly lost his job three times recently due to budget cuts. Baroz came to Obama’s attention as a Teaching Ambassador Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education this summer. Boston Public Schools (BPS) Superintendent Carol Johnson echoed Obama’s thoughts in BPS press release that also noted efforts to negotiate a new contract with the Boston Teachers Union.
