FOREST HILLS—Napper Tandy’s at 3700 Washington St. will to open in early 2012 after a year of delays and challenges.
Napper Tandy’s owner, John Jacobs, told the Gazette in a phone interview that the process is finally moving along. The proposed Irish pub/bistro is under construction, he said, and he is hoping to open early next year.
“It’s been a work in progress,” Jacobs said. “We’re finally moving in the right direction… It will be a nice twist on a city pub.”
Jacobs previously told the Gazette that the site of a former barbershop across from the MBTA Forest Hills Station would need a complete build-out, including the installation of a kitchen. That space had been vacant for over a decade.
