Ready to Work

(Courtesy Photo) JP youths march in Downtown Crossing as part of a Youth Jobs Coalition rally downtown and at the State House on Feb. 23. More than 1,200 youths from across the state demanded more government and corporate youth jobs programs and tax increases to pay for them. Local groups involved included Beantown Society, Franklin Park Coalition, Hyde Square Task Force, JP Youth Health Equity Coalition, Southern Jamaica Plain Health Center, South Street Youth Center, Spontaneous Celebrations and Teen Empowerment.
