School Pride

(Gazette Photo By Peter Shanley) James Hennigan Jr. meets a second-grader during a celebration at the Hennigan Elementary School on Heath Street March 23 in recognition of him recently turning 85 and starting a $5,000 fund for the school. The school is named after his father, a longtime Jamaica Plain leader. Hennigan told the second-graders, “Your learning here is what is important. You can have what your mothers, fathers and friends want you to have: a great education and a great life.”
