Seaverns Ave. condos hit market

SUMNER HILL—Two condos still under construction at a former Community Caring group home are already up for sale, according to real estate agent Stephen Lussier.

“One is already under agreement,” he said.

Owner Paul Donovan told the Gazette the house is being converted from a two-family group home to two condos. The Boston Redevelopment Authority confirmed that fact.

“We were approved for three condos, but we changed it,” Donovan said. “We thought it would help with some of the density issues the neighbors had brought up [during the community process].”

“He’s not maximizing the lot, unlike many other people in JP,” Lussier said.

The site was one of several group homes for troubled teens run by Gerry Wright. They were shuttered in 2009 due to budget cuts.
