A women’s vintage clothing store called Café Society plans to open next month at 606 Centre St., after moving here from Brookline, according to manager Lillian DeVane.
The hair salon Xposure by Noel, which long occupied the Centre Street spot, is moving into a new building in Jackson Square.
Café Society will hold an opening party on May 3 and officially open for business on May 12. It will be open only on weekends to start.
The store is part of a chain that includes the two Oona’s shops in Cambridge. DeVane said in an email that Café Society will specialize in “older (’40s, ’50s, early ’60s), more formal attire” than those shops.
