After a year in business, jewelry store Marla’s Obsession is expanding to add a bridal boutique.
Marla’s Bridal Shop will open at 20 Belgrade Ave. in Roslindale this month.
The family business, owned by sisters Tricia, Marla and Melissa Adams, started because of Marla’s love of fashion jewelry, Tricia Adams told the Gazette.
“She is totally obsessed with jewelry and the bridal industry,” Tricia Adams said. “When she said, ‘We should do a bridal shop,’ we went for it!”
The previously online-only jewelry store opened its storefront on Belgrade Avenue in June of last year. The expansion will add bridal, bridesmaids and quinceñera dresses to the upstairs space, with one showroom for bridesmaids dresses and other evening wear and one showroom exclusively for brides.
“It’s going to be a small shop, really exclusive,” Tricia Adams said. “We’ll focus on a lot of personal attention. Our goal is to make it a really intimate setting.”
The shop will carry plus-size dresses and—of course—bridal jewelry.
“The jewelry will be phenomenal,” Tricia Adams said.
