While most of Jamaica Plain was spending last winter inside, JP Seafood Café owner Phil Paik was commuting to the Caribbean to pull double duty at his second restaurant, The Ocean Club.
The Ocean Club, open since October, is located on the small Caribbean island of St. Lucia, just northwest of Barbados.
“It’s not an expansion” of the Seafood Café, Paik said. “It’s a new venture.”
Paik has a friend and business partner who lives in St. Lucia and is a restaurant developer, he said.
“It’s great weather and a great opportunity,” Paik said. “What more can you ask for?”
The American-Caribbean fusion restaurant and event venue features a pool and outdoor seating in addition to its dining room.
