Goddard House transferring bed licenses

S. HUNTINGTON—The Goddard House is in the process of transferring its licenses for nursing beds at its recently shuttered Jamaica Plain facility to another provider to use elsewhere, according to spokesperson Diana Pisciotta.

“It’s not a particularly big deal,” she said.

Pisciotta said the state licenses each bed and said that the Goddard House is in discussion with several providers near Jamaica Plain. She said the licenses hold a “small monetary value” that is “not significant or life-altering.”

The Goddard House, which is located at 201 S. Huntington Ave., ceased operations on Sept. 8. The enormous brick building was constructed in 1927 and housed about 100 seniors. The future of the property remains unknown.
