Holidays in JP: Tree-lightings slated for Sat.

The annual tree-lightings and Enchanted Trolley Tour events in Monument and Hyde Squares are slated for tomorrow, Dec. 8.

The Mayor’s Trolley Tour and Tree-Lighting event in Monument Square, the intersection of Centre and South streets, at 1:30 p.m. pairs up with the Jamaica Plain Business and Professional Association’s day-long Holiday Stroll. It includes music and a Santa Claus visit. The Holiday Stroll includes craft sales and the unveiling of a “Jesse tree,” a sculpture to which people can add their own ornaments, on the lawn of First Baptist Church.

The Enchanted Trolley Tour will make another stop in Hyde Square, the intersection of Centre and Perkins streets, at 2:15 p.m., with a tree-lighting, music and Santa Claus visit.

Both events are free. For more information, see eglestonsquare.org and cityofboston.gov/arts.
