The Jamaica Plain Business & Professional Association chose 13 winners for its 2012 Business District Holiday Decorations Contest.
The first place winner was Boing! JP’s Toy Shop at 667 Centre St. Second place went to JP Knit & Stitch at 461 Centre St.
Eighty-five businesses in the Centre/South area were awarded points to determine the winners. Judging took place Dec. 8. Gazette Editor John Ruch was one of the five judges.
Honorable mentions included New Leaf Flores at 601 Centre St., Ferris Wheels Bike Shop at 66 South St., Miss Laura’s Salon at 45 South St., The Goodwill Store at 578 Centre St., Salmagundi at 765 Centre St., Boomerangs at 716 Centre St., Cobwebs at 703 Centre St., Quisqueya Bakery at 462 Centre St., On Centre at 636 Centre St., Polka Dog Bakery at 42 South St. and McCormack & Scanlan at 68 South St.
